A Celebration of Service and Thanksgiving!
Dear Friends of FOCUS Minnesota,
We did it. Together we reached our ambitious financial goal of $30,000!
In such a very difficult year, where so many people have been affected by the threat of illness or social and economic uncertainty, your profound generosity humbles us, encourages us, and gives us your approval to go forward. Your support allows us to consider our neighbors not just by their need, but to consider who they are as living icons of Jesus Christ. It is your love towards those who are in need that is reflected in our daily work at FOCUS House. We feed the hungry, clothe the poor, comfort the sad and lonely, help the hopeless, respect the dignity of all people, on behalf of you who care about the world and those in it. Your gift to FOCUS MN will give us the means to plan for future resources, secure programming that is useful and inclusive, provide outreach among our church communities, be a good neighbor and a good civic partner. Mercy and kindness - what we all hope for in our own lives - is the actual currency in use and our prayer is to never squander an opportunity to offer gestures of mercy and kindness to all who come to our doors. FOCUS Minnesota is an opportunity for us all. Monday we’re back at work and there is much to do.
To all who have supported and celebrated our 10th Anniversary with us - thank you. The words “thank you” seems so inadequate and easy, but I offer them with great sincerity and from the depths of my heart. You are The Power of 10!

$10 — new socks and underwear for a client
$25 — a personal hygiene kit with shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste
$50 — bread and eggs for 20 households
$100 - winter accessories like scarves and gloves for our annual coat distribution
$225 - an infant with one month of baby formula, diapers and wipes
$300 - one month of Sunday meal supplies of beverages, utensils, napkins, condiments and takeout containers
$500 - to a Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe family for supplies for a new home
$1,000 - investment in the FOCUS MN. facility such as new flooring, HVAC system, or tech and software upgrades
$1,650 - one month of 1,000 bag lunches
